Have you ever wondered about the role of a Loch Raven Village block captain? Perhaps you’ve considered volunteering but weren’t sure what it entailed.

 

Block captains play an important role and help make our community a warm, welcoming neighborhood - one street at a time.

Block Captains...

 • Decorate the street (or their designated portion of the street) with wreaths at Christmastime.

• Welcome new neighbors and notify the Welcome Committee Block Captain chairperson to coordinate getting an ALRV “welcome basket” to the new neighbor.

• Are goodwill ambassadors and a positive resource for their street.

• Provide email contact information to neighbors via the website.
